Customer Statements and Content Manager OnDemand

One of the major uses of CMOD is for the long-term storage and electronic presentment of an enterprises customer statements. Customer statements include, but are not limited to:

  • Detailed business-to-business statements, which may be hundreds or thousands of pages long. In the telecommunications business, telephone companies would often produce detailed invoices for their customers, including call details for each and every phonecall completed by the customer's network.
  • Short transactional Statements for consumers, like bank account or credit card statements. This is one of the most popular uses for Content Manager OnDemand, as web-based presentment or smartphone-based access to current and historical statements becomes extremely popular.
  • Banks and Investment companies use Content Manager OnDemand to electronically deliver tax documents. Due to human nature, 'Tax Season' is one of the times when IBM CMOD performance is tested. For many customers, OnDemand handles the load very well. For others, they can check out Improving Content Manager OnDemand Performance for ideas on how to keep customers and the CIO happy.
